Latin Name: Coriandrum Sativum
Extraction: Steam distilled from the crushed ripe seeds.
Aroma: Fresh, sweet and somewhat spicy aroma with a lively woodsy, balsamic undertone; reminiscent of Rosewood.
BOTANY
Native to regions spanning from Southern Europe and Northern Africa to Southwestern Asia, Coriander grows to about 1 meter high and produces delicate leaves of bright green (Cilantro) and umbels of white lace-like flowers and small, round fruits which turn brown as they become ripe.

The warm, woodsy and herbaceous aroma of Coriander is stimulating to the brain. Breathing in Coriander essential oil is like taking a breath – breathing out old ideas and taking in new perspectives.
Another great tonic for recovery from illness with low ebb; at the same time, as a sedative, it is valuable when stress is high and one is dealing with physical and mental exhaustion.
Body/Physical:
In Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCM), it can circulate Qi to disperse coldness and obstruction that manifests into rheumatic pain and arthritis. Being anti-spasmodic, Coriander oil is also beneficial in massage blends for athletes and those training in gyms. It helps boost circulation in muscles and joints to soothe muscular tension, aches and stiffness.
Gentle massage with this oil can also ease digestive problems such as flatulence, diarrhea, nausea and stomach cramps, hemorrhoids, colic as well as loss of appetite and anorexia.
Coriander is also valued for regulating menstrual cycles and relieving menstrual cramps.

HOW TO USE
Diffuse & Inhale: Breathe in your favorite essential oils using an essential oil/aroma diffuser or personal pocket inhaler.
Apply Topically: This essential oil is 100% pure and undiluted. To apply to the skin, dilute with a high quality carrier oils or Carrier Oils Complex. Refer to our dilution chart. We recommend performing a skin patch test when using a new essential oil topically.
